Sports Massage

Sports massage is the use of massage for the treatment and prevention of sports injuries. 

Sports Massage will be using of massage, manual therapy, joint mobilization, and rehabilitative exercise such as stretching, strengthening and postural exercise.

 

Our Sports Massage therapy is designed to treat chronic injuries or pains and aches from everyday life.

 

This therapy will work on deeper layers of muscle tissues and it aims to release the chronic patterns of tensions in the body through slow strokes and deeper pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibre's of the muscle, tendon and fascia.

 

Chronic injuries treated with a sports massage and using of Muscle Energy Technique.

This treatment is mostly used of a deep friction technique in Sports Massage. May causes some soreness during or right after the massage.

 

However, if the massage is done correctly you should feel better than ever within a day or two.

Sciatic Relief Treatment

Sciatica symptoms vary from person to person. Common symptoms are tingling or burning sensations in the leg and buttocks. 

 

Sciatic pain often travels all the way down from the buttocks to the toes.

 

Massage is extremely beneficial in easing the pain caused by sciatica.

 

This deep, therapeutic massage concentrates on the lumbar, sacral, hip, buttock and hamstring regions using deep pressure and passive stretching movements to relieve the tensions and pain.

 

 

Post Pregnant Massage

Post-prenant massage as this is a full body massage that is given to a mum every day for upto 40 days after birth. But It could have at any time after birth.

  • To ease sore spots and relax muscle tension. 

  • Increase the flow of blood and oxygen to your muscles, getting rid of the toxins.

  • You feel relaxed. Massage encourages the body to release endorphins - the natural pain killers and feel good hormones secreted by the brain.

  • Your body to release oxytocin. Oxytocin triggers the letdown reflex which releases milk from your breast. This means that you might leak breastmilk during your massage so keep your breastfeeding bra on with some breastpads in.

Head Massage

Head Massage involves not only head but also neck and scalp. Our head massage will apply deep pressure points to the scalp.

 

Once the head massage is done correctly you feel lighter and energised for a day or day after.  

 

Note: Apply shampoo on your dry hair to wash out oils from your hair.

The soles of the feet are thought to be a mirror image of the body’s internal structures so applying pressure to reflex points creates a stimulating effect which relaxes tension, blood supply, restores balance to the body.

 

Foot massage applies pressure to reflex points to aid blood supply, remove wastes and toxins from the foot. 

 

Also foot massage gives you energy by releasing any blockages that hold back energy and relieving symptoms of stress and fatigue.

 

The treatment comes with foot, lower leg massage and stretching the foot.
